Gender Awareness is a series of two lessons for primary pupils. The aim of the lessons is to provide pupils with opportunities to think of as many ideas as possible, share ideas, build on each other’s ideas, accept all suggestions, suggest unique and original ideas, hold critical statements, state ideas briefly and present ideas. Throughout the two lessons, the pupils build on prior knowledge, connect to their own knowledge and organize knowledge so it is accessible in the future. The lessons focus on gender – the roles of boys and girls before school, during school and after school. Evaluation includes checklists and rubrics.
